FRASER L/B attendance in 2021 Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade.Coxn: David.

Steering from inside, FRASER L/B will participate in the 2021 Lucille Johnstone Workboat Parade in New Westminster. At present, the parade will take place between 2-3pm on Saturday, September 25^th in the Fraser River – East. Vessels will rendezvous at the Queensborough swing bridge around 13:30 pm or so. At approximately 13:45 pm the fleet will proceed upriver towards the stretch of river that flows alongside New Westminster Pier Park, the Fraser River Discovery Centre, and the River Market. The organizing group hopes that vessels will proceed as close to the boardwalk as is safe to do so, to offer the public a good view of the vessels. COVID safety procedure in effect, attending crew must have 2 shots.

This will also involve a safety patrol up / down and during the parade.

From event organizer: I also wanted to pass along the gratitude of Bonnie Johnstone, Lucille’s granddaughter. Bonnie will be attending RiverFest on the 25^th and is looking forward to seeing your vessels in parade out on the Fraser River!
